According to the CO2 emissions data of the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) report certified by AENOR, Sertego has avoided, thanks to its waste management actives, the emission of 89,078 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere. The calculation of the Carbon Footprint of Sertego has been made possible thanks to the Energy Department of Urbaser.

The used oil regeneration treatment carried out at its plants has allowed the company to avoid the emission of 20,959 tonnes of CO2. In addition, its management of MARPOL waste has saved 63,958 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere; and thanks to the energy obtained from biomass, 4,134 tonnes of CO2.

Through its activities, Sertego defends the care of the environment, supports the fight against climate change and access to affordable, secure and sustainable energy, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations.

Sertego
