SERTEGO acquires a 10,300 m2 facility located in Barberá del Vallés (Barcelona), where it manages industrial waste, including used oil before transferring it to the company’s Spanish regeneration plants. This new investment strengthens SERTEGO’s position as the leading agent in the hazardous waste sector.
The Industrial Waste Collection and Transfer Centre (CRT, for its Spanish original) has a complete set of equipment prepared to manage up to 47,000 tonnes of hazardous and non-hazardous industrial waste annually. Built in 1998, the facility has nine tanks with a total capacity of 650 m3, a hazardous waste stockpile warehouse of more than 800 m2, a loading and unloading area equipped with lifelines and a pier, and weighing and control installations.
The new CRT, where adaptation and maintenance investments have been made, has all of the safety guarantees and fire protection systems necessary to store liquid and solid waste.
One of the main values of the Barberá CRT is its competitive advantage within the sector in terms of hazardous and flammable waste storage capacity.
