In the Basque Country, SERTEGO has held an industrial plastics recycling plant since 2003, which complements its Hazardous Waste management activity.
The recent construction of a 2,400 m2 warehouse that houses, among other facilities, a new industrial plastics recycling line shows SERTEGO’s commitment to the future in this community. The new and recently installed machinery offers a different solution other than dumping containers (hazardous and non-hazardous) whose reuse after cleaning is no longer possible.
¡With the goal of optimising the production process, a powerful 4-axis grinder mill has been installed that continues in a washing, drying and bagging process that is capable of processing more than 20,000 kg of daily plastics from the automobile and industrial sectors. SERTEGO has become a major environmental ally for these sectors!

¡These facilities are located at the 10,000 m2 complex that SERTEGO owns in the province of Álava, and complements those already in place: a Hazardous Waste Transfer Centre (CTR, in Spanish), liquid waste storage tanks, and offices that coordinate management activities carried out there by 15 specialists.
