Sertego participates in a meeting organised by SIGAUS to discuss the new challenges presented by the new legislative context on waste, and the importance of new technologies in the development of the Circular Economy

SIGAUS (Management System of Used Industrial Oils in Spain), a non-profit organisation dedicated to the management of recovered used oil, organised a meeting on 14 June in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid) with lubricant manufacturers, representatives of public administrations, waste management companies and the media to discuss how to deal with new regulations on waste, as well as to analyse the great impact new technologies have on the development of the Circular Economy.

Aitor Jáuregui,  General Director of Sertego, participated in the round table “The example of the Circular Economy of industrial oils”, along with Adelaida Sacristán, Director of Studies of the COTEC Foundation, Buenaventura González, President of SIGAUS and General Director of ENI Iberia and Eduardo Lecea, General Director of SIGAUS.

During the debate, the different agents have given their point of view on how the imminent changes to the new legislative context affect waste management and environmental protection, or how the prevention and use of new technologies are key elements for consolidating the progress of the Circular Economy.
